From Las Cuevas, visitors can take daily excursions to Ancón Beach and the Valley of Sugarmills (part of humanity's cultural heritage since it was the world’s largest sugar-producing center in the 17th century). The ruins of many of the 600 sugar mills that existed in the valley 200 years ago are spread over this area.
